Our Story
The Depot Nyah is a family owned and run, upmarket backpacker's accommodation where history and comfort combine to create a unique and one-of-a-kind experience. In the 80's the site was originally a Vic Roads worker's depot and camp, over 20 years of love and hard work was poured into it to create the amazing space it is today.
Most of the Depot's facilities have been sustainably sourced and relocated to the property. The famous Echuca shed was relocated and transformed into comfortable and unique accomodation. Our family-owned enterprise offers a range of rooms and amenities that provide comfort and convenience for all travelers.

Director
As someone who used to work in the fast-paced and high-stress world of corporate and legal fields, I realized that I needed a change. I fell in love with Nyah and its rich cultural heritage and the welcoming community, and decided to make it our home. Paulina has a love for family, gardening, and her two cheeky dogs.
Ace Sama
Manager
Sama was originally from Fiji, with over 10 years of experience in rural Victoria, working on farms and in housekeeping. After staying with us as a guest, she could not resist the opportunity to become a member of the team. In her spare time Sama enjoys singing, dancing, and creating art.
